The Rector of the Jagiellonian University announces a call for the position of Assistant Professor (Postdoctoral Researcher) in a group of researchers at the Faculty of Philosophy in the field of psychology in the Department of Social Psychology within the project “Active coping with uncontrollability: Cognitive effort investment as a personal control restoration strategy”, funded by the Polish National Science Center, OPUS 21 (PSP: K/PBO/000889).

Led by Marcin Bukowski (Jagiellonian University), and the collaboration of Mickael Inzlicht (University of Toronto), Juan Lupiáñez (University of Granada) and Wiktor Soral & Mirek Kofta (Warsaw University), the research project aims at understanding how experienced uncontrollability impacts the investment of cognitive effort.

The Candidate should a motivated researcher with a doctoral degree in the field of psychology or related sciences, obtained not earlier than 7 years before the start date of the call for the position of postdoctoral researcher (i.e., June 1, 2022), and with experience in conducting psychological experimental research (specially in cognitive and social psychology, and neuroscience).
