Applications are invited for (1) a full-time PhD position and (2) a full-time postdoctoral position at the ERI-Lectura (University of Valencia, Spain) under the supervision of Dr. Javier Roca and Dr. Pilar Tejero.
We seek candidates with a background in experimental psychology, cognitive science, or related areas who are interested in an applied research project on adult dyslexia and cognitive ergonomics. Successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to start their PhD or develop their postdoctoral career in our research group under the premises of the the following funded R&D project:
(1) PhD position
Candidates for the full-time PhD position must have a high level of Spanish and English. They should have finished (or be about to complete) a Master’s degree. Previous experience of experimental research in psychology, cognitive science, cognitive ergonomics, or related areas, as well as programming skills (e.g., R, Matlab, or Python), will be valued (although not required).
In particular, candidates must be eligible for one of the following scholarship programs:
(a) Spanish national predoctoral program (Ayudas para la formación de profesorado universitario, FPU), or
(b) Valencian region predoctoral program (Subvenciones para la contratación de personal investigador predoctoral).

(2) Postdoctoral position
Candidates for the full-time postdoctoral position must have a high level of English. They must have finished their PhD studies after 1st January 2016 and hold extensive experience of research in experimental psychology, cognitive science, cognitive ergonomics, or related areas. They should demonstrate experience in designing, conducting, and analysing psychological experiments. Programming skills (e.g., R, Matlab, or Python) and a high level of Spanish will be valued.
In particular, candidates must be eligible for one of the following scholarship programs:
- Valencian region postdoctoral program – Modality B (Subvenciones para la contratación de personal investigador en fase postdoctoral, APOSTD)
