Applications are invited for a full-time pre-doctoral position in the MULTISENSORY RESEARCH GROUP led by Salvador Soto-Faraco, at the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona).

The position

We seek excellent and highly motivated candidates with a background in cognitive neuroscience, psychophysics, or experimental psychology, although all backgrounds will be considered if they align with the project goals. The project addresses the relationship between cross-modal fusion conceptualized from a Bayesian framework (ref 1) and conflict monitoring (ref 2).  We will value candidates with prior research experience, especially in these particular areas of interest. This scholarship is linked to the MICINN project ‘Multisensory Processing and Conflict’, under the FPI program.

Conditions

The position will be funded for three years + optional fourth.  Starting date: May 2021 (approx.). Salary (before tax):  17,785 euros per year for each year (19,000 euros if the fourth year is postdoctoral; e.g., in the event that the thesis is defended in the third year). The physical presence of the PhD student will be required during the project because the project is of an empirical nature.
