Call for abstracts/papers, Cambridge, UK; 3rd-6th September 2019: Technological and Biological Bodies in Dialogue
Working on (Multi)sensory Body Perception and Interaction?
Interested in building synergies with relevant work in Affective Computing, Human-Computer Interaction and Cognitive Sciences?
The biannual International Conference on Affective Computing & Intelligent Interaction (ACII), featuring keynote speakers, Simon Baron-Cohen, University of Cambridge and Lisa Feldman Barrett, Northeastern University, is very keen to bring together junior and senior researchers to present ‘flash talks’ (less than 10 minutes) and posters in a special session entitled «Technological and Biological Bodies in Dialogue: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Multisensory Embodied Emotion and Cognition” and including topics such as
• Embodied cognition and emotion
• Body-centred computing
• Multisensory Body, Affective and Social Perception
• Multimodal interactive systems for body sensing and feedback
• Opportunities and challenges for body sensing/feedback technology
• Approaches for sharing information about one’s body and emotions using body sensing
• Body sensing/feedback wearable technology, virtual/mixed reality, avatars, ubiquitous computing
• Ethical issues around body sensing/feedback technology
• Applications of body sensing/feedback technology (such as rehabilitation, sports, health, games, art, etc)
