Se ofrece un contrato predoctoral (beca FPI) de hasta 4 años de duración destinado a la formación científica y al desarrollo de una tesis doctoral en el campo de la neurociencia del lenguaje. Si tienes un master de Psicología, Neurociencia o equivalente, si dispones de un dominio funcional de la lengua inglesa, curiosidad por entender los mecanismos cerebrales del lenguaje, si estás dispuesto/a a aprender técnicas avanzadas para el estudio de las funciones cerebrales, si deseas participar en un proyecto de investigación, si te resulta estimulante visitar otros centros de investigación internacionales entonces esta convocatoria puede interesarte. La persona contratada como becario/a se incorporará al Centro Neurocog de la Universidad de La Laguna (website: http://www.centroneurocog.es/) que dispone de laboratorios con avanzadas técnicas de electroencefalografía (EEG), estimulación cerebral no invasiva (TMS, tDCS, ccPAS, tDCS/tACS) y registro de movimientos oculares. Además, los investigadores del Centro Neurocog son usuarios habituales del equipamiento de neuroimagen (FMRI) disponible en la Universidad. El Centro Neurocog proporciona un entorno ideal para la formación de jóvenes investigadores en neurociencia cognitiva y del lenguaje, con un ambiente humano cooperativo y estimulante que incluye múltiples actividades como coloquios científicos y talleres de formación en técnicas avanzadas. Además, dispone de una amplia red de colaboradores externos en otros centros nacionales e internacionales, como la U de Oviedo, la U Complutense de Madrid, la U Autónoma de Madrid, la U de Bolonia, la U. de Paris, la U. de Friburgo (Alemania), el Instituto de Neurología Cognitiva (Argentina), el Centro de Neurociencia de Cuba, el Instituto Max Planck de Psicolingüística (Holanda), la U de Concepción (Chile) o la U de Dalian (China). La persona contratada desarrollará su actividad dentro del proyecto “Estimulación del lenguaje de acción en el sistema motor. Un estudio de neuromodulación sobre el lenguaje corpóreo”, subvencionado por el Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad y con fondos europeos FEDER. El investigador principal del proyecto, Manuel de Vega, y/o sus colaboradores supervisarán el desarrollo de la tesis doctoral de la persona contratada. El contrato de becario incluye, además, estancias subvencionadas en otros centros nacionales o internacionales para completar la formación del investigador. PREDOCTORAL GRANT FOR SCIENTIFIC TRAINING AND DEVELOPING A DOCTORAL DISSERTATION IN NEUROSCIENCE OF LANGUAGE

Announcement of a predoctoral grant extending up to 4 years, aimed at scientific training and developing of a doctoral dissertation. If you have a master in psychology, neuroscience or equivalent; if you have functional knowledge of English language, if you feel strong curiosity to understand the brain mechanisms of language, if you are eager to learn advanced techniques to study brain functions, if you wish to participate in a research project, if you find exciting to visit other international research centers then this call for applications could be of your interest. The person awarded with the grant will join the Centro Neurocog at the Universidad de La Laguna (website: http://www.centroneurocog.es/), whose laboratories are equipped with advanced techniques of electroencephalography (EEG), non-invasive brain stimulation (TMS, tDCS, ccPAS, tDCS/tACS) and eye-tracking. Also, the researchers in the Centro Neurocog are users of the neuroimaging equipment (fMRI) available at the Universidad de La Laguna. The Centro Neurocog provides an ideal environment to train young researchers in cognitive neuroscience and language, with a cooperative and stimulating atmosphere involving a number of activities such as scientific colloquia and workshops on advanced neuroscience techniques. Moreover, it has established a broad network of collaborations with national and international researchers in the U of Oviedo, U Complutense de Madrid, U Autónoma de Madrid, U de Bologna (Italy), la U of Paris, U of Freiburg (Germany), Instituto de Neurología Cognitiva (Argentina), Centro de Neurociencia de Cuba, Max Planck Institute of Psycholinguistics (Netherlands), U de Concepción (Chile) or the U of Dalian (China). The awarded person will develop his/her activity in the framework of the project: “Stimulating Action Language in the Motor System. A neuromodulation study of embodied meaning”, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the European Regional Development Funds. The project’s principal investigator, Manuel de Vega, and/or his collaborators will advise the student’s doctoral dissertation. The grant also includes sponsored visits to other national and international research centers to complete the researcher training.
