We are thrilled to announce multiple PhD positions available at BottiniLab, housed within the Center for Mind and Brain Sciences (CIMeC) at the University of Trento. Our lab specializes in cognitive neuroscience, focusing on high-level cognition, the structural and computational aspects of declarative knowledge, and the interplay between attention, consciousness, and memory.
The official call is out here and here, and the candidate is expected to start the Ph.D. program (4 years) in November 2024. The deadline for the application is June 24th.
At BottiniLab, we are seeking highly motivated candidates who are passionate about advancing their scientific careers. Ideal applicants will possess:
• A strong motivation to pursue a career in science.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a group setting.
• Independent and critical thinking capabilities.
• A background in at least one of the following fields: Neuroimaging, Cognitive Science, Computational Modeling or Machine Learning.
CIMeC offers state-of-the-art facilities to support your research, including:
• A 3T MRI Siemens Prisma.
• A brand new Magnetoencephalography (MEG) system.
• Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation combined with Electroencephalography (TMS-
EEG) setups.
• Human intracranial stereotactic EEG.
• Advanced eye-tracking technology.
All equipment is dedicated 100% to research purposes, ensuring that you have the best tools at your disposal.
As a member of our lab, you will be part of an international community of students and researchers in a vibrant scientific environment. The working language is English, and our lab boasts numerous international collaborations. We offer ample opportunities for you to engage with the broader scientific community through conferences, summer schools, and international meetings, supported by our success in attracting significant international research funding, including ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants.
