Dear Colleagues,
We are a multidisciplinary team from Cruces University Hospital, Biocruces Bizkaia Health Research Institute and BCBL (Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language) focused on awake surgery for glioma patients as well as brain connectivity and plasticity. Working together since 2011, we were initially keen on language processing but progressively moved on to other fields of cognition specially those involving the non-dominant hemisphere.
At this point, Neurosurgery interrelates with other neuroscientific disciplines such as Neuropsychology, Neurobiology, Neurorehabilitation, Neurooncology, Psychiatry, Philosophy or Neurology, among others.
On this basis, we have brought ourselves to organize this meeting in which top professionals from diverse areas will be delighted to share their knowledge and experience to give us an innovative vision of Neurocognition and its implication in long-term survival and quality of life of our patients.
The Summit will be a full-day event held in the conference hall of Cruces University Hospital near Bilbao on the 2nd of December 2022.
