Os reenviamos un mensaje sobre el próximo CBC Seminar de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
La Junta Directiva de la SEPEX
Dear all,
We have the pleasure to announce the next CBC Seminar on
FRIDAY, MARCH 4, 2022, at 12:00 PM CET, aula aula 24.009
Christophe Pallier
from the Neuroimaging Unit, NeuroSpin Center, Gif/Yvette, France
invited by the CBC Faculty
will give a talk entitled
Analyzing naturalistic language comprehension in the brain using Natural language processing artifical neural networks
Abstract: For a long time, neuroimaging studies on language have used experimental design contrasting minimally different words or sentences to try and isolate different levels of processing (e.g. phonology, syntax, sematics,…). More and more, the field has turned to using naturalistic stimuli to measure brain activity in more «ecological» language processing settings. I will present a project in which we recorded, using functional magnetic resonance imaging, brain activity in participants listening to the entire audiobook of _Le Petit Prince_. I will show how we leverage Natural Language Processing tools (e.g. deep learning network) to analyze such data, and some results we obtained.
An article that you may want to read in preparation of the talk is here:
We look forward to seeing you all!
