Os reenviamos un mensaje de nuestro compañero Miguel Ángel Vadillo sobre el siguiente congreso: 3rd SEJYD Meeting (Society for the Advancement of Judgment and Decision-Making Studies).
La Junta Directiva de la SEPEX
Dear all,
We are glad to announce that the third SEJyD meeting will be held at the Autonomous University of Madrid on November 16th 2021. As you might remember, this meeting was initially scheduled for November 2020, but given the circumstances we had no choice but to postpone it. At the current vaccination rates, it is our hope that by November 2021 the situation will have improved sufficiently to allow a physical meeting. So, in principle, SEJyD 2021 will take place physically at UAM. If the course of events suggest that this will not be feasible, we will convert the meeting to an online conference and we will inform you as soon as possible.
Our keynote speaker will be Helena Matute, from the University of Deusto. As most of you know, Helena is a world-leading expert in the study of causal illusions and also an extremely active contributor to the dissemination of psychological research in social media and popular science events. During the previous day, Helena will be taking part in the UNED Talks which will also gather other prominent researchers like Fernando Blanco or Roberto Colom. Given that both UNED Talks and SEJyD 2021 will take place physically in Madrid, you might want to consider the possibility of attending both events in tandem.
As in previous years, oral communications will be reserved for members of SEJyD. If you belong to an active SEJyD research team, over the next few days you will receive a separate email assigning you a time slot in the conference program and inviting you to submit your abstract. The meeting will also include a poster session where all researchers (either members or non-members) are invited to present their work. The submission of abstracts is open from April 12 to May 7. If you would like to submit a proposal, please send your abstract to sejyd.meetings@gmail.com, including (a) the format of the presentation (oral communication or poster), (b) the title of your work, (c) the names and family names of all the authors, (d) the affiliation of each author, and (e) an abstract of up to 250 words.
Although attendance and active participation are free of charge, all attendants must register for SEJyD 2021 filling in this form before May 7: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSehEC6idarEyGsKN-IDDzAf8bma_5OZje-zZYauQRh_o4Vdsg/viewform
All the information about the conference is available at https://wpd.ugr.es/~sejyd/sejyd-2021/
