Open PhD Scholarship HCI / Neuroscience / Psychology / Sports Science at Universidad Loyola Andalucia, Seville, Spain
The successful candidate will join the Human Neuroscience Lab (HNL) (https://www.uloyola.es/en/research/human-neuroscience-lab?view=pdiloyola) and work with Dr Ana Tajadura-Jimenez (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Ana_Tajadura-Jimenez) within the Department of Psychology contributing to the research line she co-ordinates and that investigates the use of multisensory stimulation for altering body and space representations, emotion and motor behavior (https://www.uloyola.es/investigacion/sobre-el-laboratorio). The appointee will contribute to the ongoing projects which involve conducting experimental studies using a variety of psychophysical, psychophysiological and HCI methods, and designing wearable prototypes to enable a systematic study of novel applications with the aim of making a positive impact on emotional and physical health.
Applicants should have at least a good bachelors degree and an MSc degree (or equivalent) relevant to the research line and good English skills (level equivalent to Cambridge FCE). Previous research experience on body representation, multisensory perception or HCI, programming skills and good knowledge of Spanish language are highly desirable. Applicants should be enthusiastic, well motivated and be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.

El candidato seleccionado se unirá al Laboratorio de Neurociencia Humana (LNH) (https://www.uloyola.es/es/research/human-neuroscience-lab?view=pdiloyola) y trabajará con la Dra. Ana Tajadura-Jiménez (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Ana_Tajadura-Jimenez) dentro del departamento de Psicología y contribuyendo a la línea de investigación que coordina y que investiga el uso de la estimulación multisensorial para alterar la percepción del cuerpo y el espacio, las emociones y la conducta motora (https://www.uloyola.es/investigacion/sobre-el-laboratorio). La persona elegida contribuirá a los proyectos en curso que implican la realización de estudios experimentales utilizando una variedad de métodos psicofísicos, psicofisiológicos y de la disciplina de HCI, y el diseño de prototipos “wearable” que permitan un estudio sistemático de aplicaciones novedosas con el objetivo de impactar positivamente en la salud emocional y física.
Los solicitantes deben tener un título oficial de Grado, o equivalente, y de Máster universitario de investigación, o equivalente, relevantes para la línea de investigación y un nivel de inglés B2 o equivalente. La experiencia previa de investigación en las áreas de percepción del cuerpo, percepción multisensorial o HCI, así como habilidades de programación, son altamente deseables. Los solicitantes deben ser entusiastas, bien motivados y ser capaces de trabajar de forma independiente y colaborativa, como parte de un equipo de investigación.
