CO-FUND & Ser Cymru Research Fellowships

Reminder to everyone that the second round of CO-FUND & Ser Cymru Research Fellowships is now open. The deadline for receipt of initial expressions of interest is 30th June. Could all staff please consider whether you know of suitable researchers who could take up a fellowship here. Details of the different schemes are below. COFUND 3  years ·   For experienced Researchers i.e. in possession of a doctoral degree (or have at least four years of full time equivalent research experience) plus approximately 3 – 5 years’ postdoctoral research experience

·   Applicants can be of any nationality but must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies etc.) in the UK for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline for submission of proposals

·  For STEMM research (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) or areas of applied social science relevant to the ‘Science for Wales’ Grand Challenge priority areas of Life sciences and health; Low carbon, energy and environment; Advanced engineering and materials

Sêr Cymru II Fellowships

 

3  years ·   For experienced Researchers i.e. in possession of a doctoral degree (or have at least four years of full time equivalent research experience) plus approximately 3 – 5 years’ postdoctoral research experience

Recapturing Talent Fellowships

 

3  years · Applicants should have a good first degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics or Medicine (STEMM) subject

·  It is also desirable for candidates to have 3 – 5 years post-doctoral experience and publications

·  Applicants will have had a career break, or have taken time out of academic research, for around 2 or more years

·  Applicants can be of any nationality

Rising Stars 5 Years ·   For the very best ‘rising stars’ of academic research

·   Applicants should have over 7 years of experience since completion of PhD (or equivalent degree) and scientific track record showing great promise
