The Memory and Language Research group at CIMCYC (Centro de Investigación Mente, Cerebro y Comportamiento, University of Granada ) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Psychology Graduate or equivalent to join our team (deadline January 7th, 2026).
Project Details
- Project Title: “Language dependency in collaborative memory: Social contagion and collaborative inhibition”
- Funding Source: This position is fully funded by the PID2024-159774NB-I00 research project, granted by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
- Objective: The project explores how the languages employed during encoding and recall modulate in-group recall, utilizing advanced cognitive neuroscience methods.

The candidate will play a critical role in all phases of the project:
- Participant Management: Recruitment, screening, scheduling, and ethical protocol management for experimental participants.
- Experimental Programming: Programming and adaptating experimental tasks (using tools like OpenSesame, E-Prime, etc.).
- Data Collection: Collection of behavioral and electroencephalographic (EEG) data, including the application of hyper-scanning techniques to record in-group recall sessions.
- Data Analysis: Pre-processing and statistical analysis of behavioral and EEG data.
- Dissemination: Preparation of conference communications, scientific articles, and dissemination materials related to the project.
This is a full-time contract for the duration of the project (3-years contract) with a gross salary of 1701€/month (14-month salary prorated). Start date: February 2026 (Negotiable).
Evaluation criteria for the position: Psychology degree or equivalent; Letter of Motivation, Master’s Degree in Cognitive Neuroscience or equivalent academic degree, Experience in tasks related to the position, publication of related scientific articles, participation in related conferences, experience in electroencephalographic (EEG) data analysis, fluency in English, Personal interview, if necessary.
