We are offering a four-year fully funded PhD position, with the possibility of converting the final year into a postdoctoral position if the thesis is completed within three years. The position is part of the national program «Ayudas para contratos predoctorales para la formación de doctores 2025» and is directly linked to the project “Jealousy Beyond Romantic Relationships: an Interdisciplinary Investigation.”
The project explores jealousy beyond romantic relationships, combining perspectives from psychology, philosophy, and cognitive science.
The successful candidate will develop a PhD thesis on the philosophy or psychology of jealousy under the supervision of Pamela Barone and Carme Isern Mas, both Principal Investigators of the project at the University of the Balearic Islands in Palma, Mallorca.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Philosophy, Psychology, or a related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with an interdisciplinary background in Philosophy and Psychology, Cognitive Science, or related fields. A strong command of English is required, and knowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan will be valued, as the selected candidate may participate in undergraduate teaching during the doctoral training period.
