Embarking on a PhD means plunging into the unknown, discovering your own strengths and daring to go that much further.

”La Caixa” Foundation’s doctoral INPhINIT fellowships support talented researchers of the future like you. This programme enables you to carry out your doctorate at the best universities and research centres in Spain and Portugal.

Incoming: 30 fellowships for researchers of all nationalities to carry out their PhD at Spanish centres with Severo Ochoa or María de Maeztu accreditation, Carlos III Health Research Institutes, and Portuguese centres classed as “excellent” by the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. Incoming fellowships are addressed exclusively to STEM disciplines.

Retaining: 30 fellowships for researchers of all nationalities to carry out their PhD in any discipline and at any university or research centre in Spain or Portugal. 

The BCBL – Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language is a «Severo Ochoa» Centre and a Host Institution in the INPhINIT Programme offering 10 different PhD Thesis projects.

You can submit your application up to 24 January 2024 for Incoming fellowships and up to 15 February 2024 for Retaining fellowships.
